Welcome to the father and son world of Zealex Limited. Neil and Ollie Butler are both enthusiastic members of the bee industry in New Zealand. They live in the wonderful Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, well known for its Manuka, Native Wild Forests & Flora, kiwifruit, fruit orchards and a host of other natural horticulture products.Ollie is an expert beekeeper who is passionate about his bees, their hives and their needs to ensure their health and wellbeing and their capability of producing the highest of quality in queen bees, propolis, venom and of course a range of natural native honeys. Ollie owns his own hives but Zealex also works with an extended family of avid beekeepers NZ wide to ensure they can supply the very specific type of honey their client's demand.
Neil has been involved with food processing and exporting of New Zealand fine food products for over 30 years. He has joined with Ollie to form Zealex Ltd for handling and Exporting Manuka honey and other NZ Native Tree honeys. The family own a substantial food processing site with a wide range of Food and Honey processing technologies, MPI Audited Export Licenses and Accreditations. Zealex is a specialist in the honey industry. From honey extraction and refinement, bulk storeage, and blending and packing they have developed a range of processes to extract and formulate the very best quality products from the bee-hive. They and their partners source honey from a substantial part of the North and South Islands of New Zealand and utilise it in a wide range of many products and formats for their key clients.

This is a quality range due to its; Traceability, NZ Government MPI Certification, tamper-proof packaging, and of course it's FABULOUS NATURAL FLAVOURS.The Butler family created TRUE KIWI because they wanted to assure their customers that the honey and other premium products supplied by Zealex Limited were guaranteed TRUE TO ORIGIN.For that reason, they maintain Strict Traceability and Assurance of Quality of the manuka honey from hive to pack.Neil and Ollie have recognised that their clients are looking to the future, particularly with the use of Manuka Honey in convenient, portion-controlled packs such as sachets. These products may include key clients needs in natural herbs and spices such as ginger, ginseng, turmeric and chilli. Zealex are focused on developing and supporting worldwide customers specific requirements for
Manuka Honey, Native Tree Honeys, and Honey blends, and Functional Honey and Bee Products. We
concentrate on developing long-term business.
We specialise in the custom blending and supply of Manuka Honey packed in Bulk Drums 300kgs,
and Pails 25 kgs, and 250 gm and 500 gm jars, in the full range of Certified UMF Grades from 5 + to
22 + . Zealex also supply Manuka Honey Powder in the range of grades to suit customer
requirements.
The bulk Manuka Honey packed and exported in Drums and Pails is purchased for re-packing into
retail jars in the customer’s packing plants or for sale to Industrial manufacturers and Bakeries as an
Ingredient or into the Food Service sector.
We note recently a trend where some retail customers prefer the Honey to be retail packed in the
country of Origin, especially valuable unique Origin specific honey such as Manuka Honey, which is
only available from New Zealand as genuine certified NZ Manuka Honey.
We load sea containers at our facility, full being 83 x 300 kg drums per full 20 ft fcl. Also we load
part containers for sea freight from our local Port. Additionally we palletise drums for loading as
Airfreight. These Drums are suited to volume users and packers of Manuka Honey
We also blend and pack NZ Native Tree Honeys and Wild Flower Honeys.
Health & Wellbeing -- We have developed a range of Functional Honeys with Turmeric, Ginger, Chilli,
Cinnamon, etc, as well as a range of Manuka Honey Gummies, a Royal Jelly Bee Tonic, and Manuka

manufacturers and packers, and brand owners, to meet a range of market demands
Manuka Honey from New Zealand is unique to the world with a wide range of valuable health
benefits which are increasingly recognised internationally. There are other New Zealand Native Tree
Honeys that also are unique and offer opportunity. We note that New Zealand Manuka Honey is
certainly not the same product as Australian Manuka Honey and has a number of differences.
Zealex are seeking partners in a number of countries in; Asia, Middle East, Europe, USA, etc, to work
collaboratively with them on developing sales for both Bulk and Retail packed UMF 5 + to 22 +
Manuka Honey and other NZ Honeys and Bee products.
